Taleban Dooda and T9ine can’t believe how far they’ve come. On “Chosen,” the gratitude-filled Florida duo beam with excitement as they count up their blessings, splitting duties on the hook to provide two versions of the same story. T9ine speaks first, flexing on people who think he owes them, and Dooda comes in right after, reflecting on the lack of support from those close to him: “It started as a dream to us, they ain’t believe in us,” he dejectedly sighs. “Don’t know what it mean to us, they always leaving us.” Though it sounds like a victory lap, this song proves Taleban Dooda and T9ine are just getting started.
